The gift of blogging
Our reasons for personal blogging vary.
Some do it because they need to get things off their mind. Others do it because they love to tinker. And many do it for both of those reasons.
But we don’t actually need a blog to do those things. We could write our thoughts down in a journal. We could download some software and play with it locally on our machine.
So why a public blog?
The community is one of the first things that comes to mind. It’s a beautiful and valuable thing, but I don’t think it’s the final answer. You can be a blogger without feeling part of a bigger community, and still love blogging.
At its core, I think it comes down to one thing. Not only when it comes to blogging, but in life in general. A universal truth.
It feels good to share. By giving, we receive.
That’s the gift of blogging.
